Wikipedia
Belvís de Monroy Castle stands on a hill near the Cáceres town with the same name. Its origins go back to the 13th century and it has had many different inhabitants throughout its history, which is obvious from its appearance, which blends different styles, amongst which we find Renaissance and Baroque styles.
Its structure is divided into three clearly differentiated parts: the wall with its defence towers, the castle and the towers that mark out its perimeter. Amongst all of these buildings, the most noteworthy is the keep, which has also suffered from the passage of the centuries, as can be seen in the rest of this fort, damaged by abandonment. In spite of this, the castle still retains its majesty, which is why it has been declared a Spanish cultural heritage site.
