Cuzcurrita del Río Tirón Castle
Castle of the Velasco.
Built at the end of the 15th century by Pedro Suárez de Figueroa, it is a walled enclosure with cubes in the corners and a slender tower of homage, which has no window in its walls.
In the 16th century, during the reign of Felipe II, D. Pedro de Velasco, IX lord of Cuzcurrita, founded mayorazgo when marrying Marta de Rojas y Osorio, working the coat of arms of the arched cover on the north wall, defended by a beautiful matacán.
It has opened a file as a Property of Cultural Interest in the category of Monument since July 15, 1980.
