General Elżbieta Zawacka Bridge (formerly the Eastern Bridge) - a road bridge over the Vistula River in Toruń, along National Road No. 91.
Name
In 2009, the Toruń City Council decided to give the bridge the name of General Elżbieta Zawacka. The relevant resolution was adopted after the construction of the main part of the crossing, 24 October 2013.
Location
The bridge connects the Rubinkowo district located on the right bank with the left bank Rudak. It is located 6 km downstream of the highway bridge Armii Krajowej in Toruń and 2 km upstream from the railway bridge of Ernest Malinowski in Toruń.
Characteristic
The bridge is 540 m long and 24 m wide. It is a two-span steel arch bridge with the largest length (270m) of a single span among the arch bridges in Poland. It has two roadways with two lanes in each direction of travel and additional infrastructure, which consists of bus bays, sidewalks, bicycle path, lighting and drainage. The total length of the bridge route including access roads is 4.1 km.
