Grajal de Campos Palace
The palace of the Counts of Grajal is a building in the Spanish town of Grajal de Campos, in the province of León.
Description
Located in the Leonese town of Grajal de Campos, its construction dates back to the first half of the 16th century.1 The palace, in Renaissance style, has undergone several restoration processes in the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century.
On 3 June 1931, during the Second Republic, it was declared a historic-artistic monument belonging to the national treasury, by means of a decree published the following day in the Madrid Gazette, signed by the president of the provisional government, Niceto Alcalá-Zamora, and the Minister of Public Instruction and Fine Arts, Marcelino Domingo.3 It currently has the status of an asset of cultural interest.
