Hojuyama Daikanonji Temple
"Hojuyama Daikanonji" is located in Tsu City, in the northern part of Mie Prefecture. The principal image is the pure gold Kannon statue, "Pure Gold Kaiun Hoju Daikanzeon Bosatsu," which boasts the highest height in the world. Daikanonji was opened in 1982. The following year, the approval of the special head temple was obtained from the head temple of Shingon Buddhism Yamashina.
