Hotei Buddha (Hotei's daibutsu), is located in Aichi Prefecture Konan city Kiga-daimon concrete housing integrated Yakushi Nyorai settling statue. 18 meters in height.
In 1949, Hidenobu Maeda (then 43 years old) who was a cuspian in Nagoya city at that time decided to build the Big Buddha with an announcement, promoted image creation by himself, completed in 1954 five years later. The statue is 18 meters tall and it is a concrete pant seat. The image height is about 2 meters larger than the main statue of Nara, Todaiji Temple Buddha statue known as "Great Buddha of Nara", and it is the largest Buddha statue of personal possession. The stone of the entrance to the approach is "Utaki Yakushi", which was established based on Kiso Ontakeyama faith.
