Miraflores Bridge (in Basque, Larreagaburu zubia) is a bridge in Vizcaya, Spain that spans the shores of the Bilbao estuary.
History
It was opened to the public on 28 April 1995 and its authors were the engineers Juan José Arenas de Pablo and Marcos Pantaleón. This bridge, which connects the A-8 motorway and the Bolueta neighbourhood, was at the time the first flyover over the Nervión in Bilbao since the opening of the La Salve bridge in 1972, with a height of 45 metres. It came into operation on the eve of an election and there was no opening ceremony, as the Provincial Council feared a boycott by the local residents.
