Phra Puttha Sothon at Wat Bot
This historical temple was constructed by the Mon ethnic minority group who migrated from Pegu, Burma. This large Buddha was made based on a very revered Buddha image in Thailand, the Luang Pho Sothon, that is kept in Wat Sothon in Chachoengsao. Apart from paying respect to Luang Pho Sothon and the three Buddha images in the shrine hall, devotees also visit the temple to make offerings and prayers to the cast statue of Luangpu Thian, a highly knowledgeable senior monk who was also an advocate for education.
