Port of Pointe-Noire
The Port of Pointe-Noire or the Autonomous Port of Pointe Noire (in French: Port de Pointe-Noire or Port Autonome de Pointe Noire) is an autonomous port-type organization since 2000, located in the deep sea (13,20 m Draft) and plays an important role in the regional strategy: 3.3 million tons and 100 000 TEU in 2005.
75% of the goods that are discharged are effectively destined to the neighboring ports of Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Gabon.
Pointe Noire connects to the capital Brazzaville by road and by a 515 kilometer railway (Congo-Ocean railway).
