Saint-Georges Castle
Château Saint Georges enjoys an exceptional panoramic view on the hillsides around St Emilion.
This beautiful property with refined decor of the seventeenth century is an ideal stopover to discover the vineyard, architecture and learn about oenology from different themes. Since 1891, it belongs to the Desbois family. In 2013 Jean-Philippe Janoueix joined the wine company as co-owner. In October 2015, he is the manager of Château Saint-Georges.
History:
Château St-Georges, known under the reign of Henry IV is a true work of art all by itself.
The four towers recount the past of a feudal castle and the neoclassical facade is the work of the famous architect Victor Louis who also built the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux.
Château St Georges is above all a family vineyard of 45 ha.
