Tistad Castle
Tistad (also spelled Tista) is a castle in Nyköping municipality, Södermanland. The castle is owned by the noble family Wachtmeister af Johannishus.
Tistad Castle is located in Bärbo parish, about 12 kilometres northwest of Nyköping. The main building is a three-storey castle in Italian style, built in 1766-1771 by Baron Fredrik Bengt Rosenhane. The castle sits on a high terrace and on its southern slope there is a large French-style garden. The castle hosts conferences and a former granary has been converted into a coffee house. Guided tours of the castle are organised for groups.
