The Trapagaran viaduct is a bridge located on the outskirts of the city of Bilbao, in the Basque Country. The purpose of this bridge is to connect the A-8 to the Metropolitan Southern Bypass. It is located in an industrial area, which makes it necessary to consider the aesthetics, the layout and the effects, as well as the economic cost. The work consists of three parts:
Access branches: an area where the different branches are located in different boards.
Transition zone: this zone is characterised by the union of the four branches in a single deck that characterises the Traparagan viaduct.
Main viaduct: viaduct with three carriageways on a single deck.
