c-Port
c-Port is a registered trademark and refers to an inter-municipal industrial and commercial estate on the Coastal Canal in the northern Oldenburg Münsterland region, in the district of Cloppenburg.
Covering a total area of approx. 280 ha, an inland port facility is being developed on the Coastal Canal in several construction phases. Currently, approximately 76 ha of land is available for industrial development. In the first construction phase, 55 ha were developed.
The industrial park is accessible via the A401 and A72 motorways. A rail link is planned for the second construction phase.
The port on the Coastal Canal has a 570-metre-long quay and berths for five Euro-vessels, and is designed for the handling of bulk, general and heavy cargo, containers and general cargo.
The c-Port is being developed by the Intercommunal Coastal Canal Industrial Park Association, based in the municipality of Saterland. The members of the association are the town of Friesoythe (35.3%), the municipality of Saterland (35.3%) and the district of Cloppenburg (29.4%).
