En 2014, se inicia un proyecto para completar el cuadro central del retablo del altar mayor, con ocho cuadros de grandes dimensiones del pintor, escultor, retratista y grabador burrianense Vicente Traver Calzada. El retablo está formado por nueve cuadros de grandes dimensiones. Según Traver Calzada, la intención del retablo es ensalzar la figura de la Virgen María como madre de la Iglesia. Estas campanas, de grandes dimensiones, no han sido electrificadas y es el ayuntamiento de Castellón el encargado de su mantenimiento y los toques habituales sirven de transmisor de los actos litúrgicos de la concatedral de Santa María. La cámara de las Campanas. Se encuentra en el escalón 145 de la escalera, por lo tanto a 32,12 m. del suelo. En esta cámara hay ocho campanas de volteo. Actualmente, todas se han restaurado y tienen yugo de madera. La Terrraza. Se encuentra al final de la escalera de caracol en el peldaño 188, por lo tanto a 41,58 m. del suelo. De planta octogonal, está protegida por un antepecho con 8 gárgolas. El Templete. Sobre la terraza se construyó en 1735 el actual Templete como una réplica del original que se había destruido en 1656. Tiene planta triangular con pilastras de orden toscano y está cubierto con teja azul. En 1860 se colocó una veleta en su cima. En él se sostienen tres campanas semi-fijas que señalan las horas y los cuartos. Estas campanas de nombre Tàfol (o Cristóbal), Anna y María del Lledó son las originales, no fueron destruidas en 1936.
