Enclave: Croydon, located at 23 College Road, Croydon, CR0 1NN, is the tallest skyscraper in this London borough, standing at 154.4 meters (507 feet) with 50 floors. This residential development, managed by Outpost Management, reached its maximum height on November 2, 2022, marking a milestone as Europe’s tallest modular building. Constructed using an innovative volumetric construction system with 1,725 modular units assembled around two reinforced concrete cores, the project stands out for its efficiency and sustainability, reducing carbon emissions and on-site waste. Construction began in 2020 and was completed in October 2023, in a record time of 30 months, offering 817 studio apartments for rent and 120 affordable units in an adjacent 35-story tower.
This skyscraper not only redefines Croydon’s skyline but also introduces an all-inclusive living concept, featuring seven floors of exclusive resident amenities, such as gyms, coworking spaces, rooftop gardens, and podcast studios. Situated just steps from East Croydon Station, Enclave: Croydon offers fast connections to London, with trains reaching Victoria in 16 minutes and London Bridge in 13. Designed by HTA Design and built by Tide Construction, this project reflects Croydon’s modernization as a dynamic residential hub, combining smart technology, innovative design, and a focus on sustainability.
