Gallenstein Castle
Gallenstein Castle is the ruins of a hilltop castle at 631 metres above sea level, just east of St. Gallen in Austria.
History
The three-towered fortress was the centre of the Gallenstein domain. Until the end of the 19th century, it was a refuge and administrative seat of the Admont Abbey, founded in 1074.
