Port of Hamm
Hamm City Port is a trimodal logistics centre located on the Datteln-Hamm Canal in the North Rhine-Westphalian city of Hamm. It is the second-largest public canal port in the Federal Republic of Germany. It is operated by Hafen Hamm GmbH, a subsidiary of Stadtwerke Hamm GmbH. The port's catchment area extends far beyond Hamm into the Münsterland, Sauerland and southern East Westphalia regions, as well as into Hesse, connecting these regions with the European waterway network and the North Sea and Baltic Sea ports of Germany and the Netherlands.

Hamm City Harbour is part of the Industrial Heritage Trail, Theme Route 7 (Industrial Heritage on the Lippe).
Technical data
The port facility was designed as a parallel port to the Lippe, with a quay length of 3.4 km. Today, it covers an area of approximately 6 km2 (600 ha), of which 0.57 km2 (57 ha) is water area in the port area. Currently, the harbour can be accessed by motor cargo vessels with a total length of 110 metres and a width of 11.45 metres at a draught of 2.7 metres. Push barges up to a length of 165 metres are permitted. The harbour area is also served by a harbour railway with 12 km of track and three diesel locomotives.
