Shepherd Monument is a new attraction of Odessa region
On 1st of December 2016 in Ethnographic and Rural Tourism Center Frumushika Nova opened Shepherd Monument height of 18 meters that become a new attraction of Odessa region.
Shepherd Monument has already received a record of Ukraine and on 17.11.2017 - Record in Guinness Book as the tallest statue of a shepherd in the world. Author of stone monument is sculptor Ivan Korolenko.
The height of giant shepherd is 16.43 meters and together with pedestal - almost 18 meters. Weight of the entire structure is 1080 tons.
Frumushika Nova is the largest in Europe sheep farm on cultivation of karakul breed of sheep. Development of eco-tourism in this region make Palariev family.
In Ethnographic and Rural Tourism Center Frumushika Nova tourists can look at national Bessarabia farmsteads of XIX-XX centuries - Moldovan, Ukrainian, Russian, Bulgarian, German, Gagauz and Jewish. Here there are church, apiary and tavern.
In the mini-zoo and a farm there are ponies for children, in tasting room visitors can taste homemade wine, on shooting range - shooting plates, on three lakes - fish Japanese carp, participate in year-round hunting for pheasant or take a journey to the former Soviet military polygon.
In Ethnographic and Rural Tourism Center Frumushika Nova there is un unique Museum of Socialism which houses a variety of monuments to Soviet leaders.
