The Statue of Social Justice also known as the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Smriti Vanam (English: Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Memorial), is a 206-ft tall statue located in Vijayawada in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The memorial dedicated to B. R. Ambedkar, an Indian polymath, statesman, social reformer and the father of the Indian Constitution. The statue is 125 feet (38 m) tall and stands on an 81 feet (25 m) tall base building, making its total height 206 feet (63 m). It is the fourth tallest statue in India.

A view of the 125-ft bronze statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, built at a cost of around ₹400 crore, in Vijayawada. The statue of social justice will be inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday. Nearly 518 metric tonnes of steel and bronze have gone into the making of the statue. A modern air-conditioned theatre, museum and library were also built at the park which will showcase significant events of Ambedkar’s life. Statue of Social Justice 2

Vista de la estatua de bronce de 38 metros del Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, construida con un coste aproximado de 4000 millones de rupias, en Vijayawada. La estatua de la justicia social será inaugurada el viernes por el ministro principal de Andhra Pradesh, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Para la construcción de la estatua se han utilizado cerca de 518 toneladas métricas de acero y bronce. En el parque también se han construido un moderno teatro con aire acondicionado, un museo y una biblioteca, donde se expondrán los acontecimientos más significativos de la vida de Ambedkar.
