In March of 2008, Devon Energy Corp. officials stirred the interest and imaginations of Oklahoma City residents with the announced construction of a new Devon Tower, what would be the metro's tallest building. But when the official Devon Tower plans were finally revealed on August 20th, the response was absolute awe.

Instead of edging just above the rest of the Oklahoma City skyline, the glass Devon Tower is quite a sight to behold, rising far above the rest of the metro and reaching the sky in a representation of the tremendous renaissance in our fair city.

Soaring 50 stories over the low-rise downtown of Oklahoma City, the gleaming Devon Energy Center has become a reference point and a thing of wonder in this redeveloping prairie town. The glass-and-steel headquarters, designed by New Haven–based architects Pickard Chilton, is emblematic of what might be called Oklahoma City's renaissance.

Devon Energy Center es un rascacielos corporativo de 52 plantas situado en el centro (downtown) de Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. La construcción comenzó el 6 de octubre de 2009 y se completó en marzo de 2012.2 La torre está situada en Sheridan Avenue entre Hudson Avenue y Robinson Avenue, al lado del histórico Colcord Hotel, actualmente propiedad de Devon.
