Descripción:Wenzhou World Trade Center (Chinese: 温州世贸中心大厦) is a 68-floor supertall skyscraper in Wenzhou, China. Construction of the building began on 9 June 2003 and was completed in 2010 at 333 m (1,093 ft), giving it the title of the 25th-tallest building in the world. It is located in the downtown area of Wenzhou where it stands as the tallest building in the city, the tallest in Zhejiang province and the 18th-tallest in China.

The Wenzhou World Trade Center is to be used as office space and a luxury hotel.

Original plans called for the Wenzhou World Trade Center to be only 260 m (853 ft) tall.[2]

Leaving Dubai, we now go to Wenzhou, China home of the 6th tallest skyscraper built in 2010: the Wenzhou World Trade Center. Designed by SOM the building climbs 68 stories, 322 meters high. RTKL Associates designed the retail plaza.

The main uses of the Wenzhou World Trade Center are commercial office space and a hotel. Other secondary uses include retail and restaurants as well as an exercise facility and observation floor.

The project began in 2003, reaching completion in 2010. Though plans had initially called for the tower to reach only 260 meters, the design was adjusted to meet the requirements of a taller building. The Wenzhou World Trade Center also features a spire at the top of the structure. The structure towers over the surrounding buildings to become a prominent, powerful symbol on the skyline of one of China’s important foreign treaty ports.

Wenzhou, which exports tea, wine, food, paper, timber and Alunite is a leading port in China. The city is home to many thriving businesses, partially due to the culture of the city, which actively seeks foreign investment while encouraging the entrepreneurial spirits of its residents. In fact, residents have earned a solid reputation for their business savvy. The city is home to the Wenzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone, an area that encourages the development of the electronic information, textile and chemical medicine industries.
